With African rhythms thundering from the basement of the Beaman Memorial Library, drum instructor Michael Rinker recently conducted a West African drum workshop for a number of children and adults, which was sponsored by the West Boylston Arts Foundation.

Commits Funding for School Music Teacher

The West Boylston Arts Foundation, Inc. (WBAF), a non-profit charitable organization, has pledged $12,000 toward hiring a band and instrument teacher next year for Major Edwards Elementary School.  The commitment of funds matches the contribution that the WBAF provided for the 2008-2009 school year.
